Join us for a compelling dual exhibition featuring the individual works of Linda Pelowski and Dan Hawkins, two accomplished Michigan artists who bring their love of nature and years of design experience into dynamic, expressive art.
Linda Pelowski is a full-time artist whose work in pastel reflects a deep connection to the outdoors. With a BFA in Industrial Design and over 25 years in both industrial and interior architecture, Linda brings precision and atmosphere to her plein air landscapes. Her ability to capture light and mood makes each painting a vivid experience. She is an active member of the Michigan Plein Air Painters, the Great Lakes Pastel Society, and several other regional art organizations.
Dan Hawkins has followed a lifelong passion for drawing and painting. With degrees in both commercial art and mechanical engineering, his early career was rooted in the technical side of design—drafting, illustration, and product development. Since retiring from engineering, Dan has devoted himself fully to painting, working in both oil and watercolor. A member of the Michigan Plein Air Painters since 2016, he’s especially inspired by the wild beauty of animals and natural places.
Don’t miss the opening reception on Thursday, August 22, from 6–8 PM at the SHAC in Milford. Come meet the artists, explore their work, and celebrate a night of creativity and community. Free and open to all.
